Situation
Company AČR operates a system of SFDC, which is used to control fire. This system consists of computers, active network components and communications units. In case of component failure is difficult to diagnose faults.
Business Objectives
Implementation of a system derived from the system CMOS, which will be used to monitor communication infrastructure and individual computers that make system SFDC.
Solutions
CPSW (PCDP) is a Central Portable Surveillance Workplace for system SFDC / 1 (Static Fire Distribution Center Deployable). SFDC is a fire control system for mobile or stationary command brigade point.It is automated place for management of anti-aircraft missile units and anti-aircraft units of AČR, or anti-aircraft device of NATO armies. In addition to its own activities in the management of fire, it supports coordination with other systems of OTS VzS or AČR, which are somehow connected to the management and security of combat operations by ground PVO.
PCDP system is built based on the standard SNMP protocol and procedures. As a control server and workstation is used VijeoCitect on Windows 2000/2003/XP platform.
The basic role of the surveillance system is:
- Monitoring and control of intelligent network elements via SNMP interface
- Continuous monitoring of the network elements availability through ICMP protocol (ping)
Benefits
By implementation of the system have maintenance personnel of system SFDC received tool providing a detail overview of the status of managing computers and communication elements. There is also available history of individual failures and alarm system that acoustically and visually informs users of exceeding preset limits of monitored variables.
